Credits represent AI tokens consumed when generating or refining projects in Meku. Each subscription plan includes a fixed number of monthly credits, with daily limits on Free and Starter plans.
How Credits Work
Credits are tied to your subscription plan.
- 1 credit = 1,000 AI tokens processed.
- Used when creating projects, refining prompts, or adding new components.
- Larger prompts and iterations consume more credits.
Credits do not apply to exports, browsing, or project management.
Viewing Credits
Credits are displayed in the top navigation bar when logged in.

- Example: 198 / 2000 shows 198 credits used out of 2000 available.
- Free and Starter plans also show the daily limit.
- Pro and Growth plans have no daily limit but still display monthly usage.
This gives you real-time visibility without needing a separate page.
Purchasing and Managing Credits
Credits are included in your plan.
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan in Billing & Subscriptions to change limits.
- Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
- Credits reset on your billing cycle date.
Optimizing Credit Usage
Use credits efficiently by following these practices:
- Write specific prompts instead of vague requests.
- Build complex projects step by step.
- Reuse components instead of regenerating.
- Avoid unnecessary refinements.
Efficient prompting reduces credit consumption and improves results.
Hitting Your Limit
When you reach the credit limit:
- New generations and refinements will stop until credits reset.
- On Free and Starter plans, daily limits reset every 24 hours.
- Monthly limits reset at the start of your billing cycle.
Top-up Credits
If you run out before the reset, you can purchase additional credits.
- Go to Billing & Subscriptions > Top-up Credits.
- Choose the pack size (e.g., 500, 1000, 2000 credits).
- Purchased credits are added instantly and used after the base plan credits.
Top-ups give flexibility without requiring a full plan upgrade.
